On the Jazzy Mcbee show, On the Streetz 94.5, singer, Monica discussed her new album Code Red, relationship status with her former close friend Ciara, acting and more.
Following Ciara’s break-up with Rapper Future, rumors began to circulate that Ciara’s friendship with Monica ended because of speculation that Monica had knowledge of Future’s alleged infidelity, which lead to their called-off engagement.
During her interview with Atlanta’s Streetz 94.5 Monica decided to clear the air and set the record straight telling that she and Ciara did have a falling out years prior to her situation with Future, stemming from unresolved issues.
When asked about the current controversy surrounding Ciara’s new beau, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson, Monica replied,
I make it my business to mind my business, that’s the difference with me. I love the fact that she’s in love and happy, and I think the best thing you can do is to put God at the forefront of it, and other people completely out of it–especially the media […] I know what I had to do when it came to me and my children, and everybody will make that choice as a parent.
