Grammy award winning gospel singer CeCe Winans brought a packed house to tears with a touching performance of “Blessed Assurance” at Kennedy Center Honors celebrating Cicely Tyson, 90.
Backed by Terence Blanchard and the Cicely Tyson Community School of Performing and Fine Arts Choir. Winans’ lovely rendition of the classic song had Mrs. Tyson jumping for joy as she savored the sound, while R&B artist Usher and many others were brought to tears and touched by the performance!
