James Fortune Returns with “Dear Future Me”

Grammy® Nominee & Stellar Award winner James Fortune returns with Dear Future Me, a reflective journey that Fortune deems as one of his most transparent and honest records, thus far.  Being released on Friday, June 23, 2017, under FIYA World/eOne Nashville, Dear Future Me is a bold and courageous piece of work that tracks Fortune’s journey from forgiveness to restoration to celebration. Led by the single, “I Forgive Me”, Fortune continues to thrive in his ability to be transparent and use real life scenarios to reach the hearts of those in need of hope, encouragement, and breakthrough.  The lyrics speak like words from a diary entry pointing clearly to the past, present and future.

“Dear Future Me is an album that I hope everyone can relate to, as it reminds us that with God and Grace, no matter what we’ve been through, we ALL have a future,” says Fortune.  “I simply desire to truly touch people and talk about the things that people are dealing with. While being transparent leaves us so vulnerable, it’s a responsibility I’m willing to accept if it’ll help someone avoid some of the mistakes that I’ve made.”

This album is a reflective journey of growing, the process of moving and healing from what was, through what is, ending with what is to come.  The familiar voices of  Kierra Sheard, Zacardi Cortez, and Isaac Carree, will be heard throughout the album, along with a few other voices.
